On March 10th the Red Hat Flashes convened at a secret location in Edmonds, where we were met by our planning committee (Jean Ozan, Karen Kuster, Lori Nellessen and Nancy Fox), and a private chartered bus.  After being welcomed aboard with a fabulous gift bag and a poetic clue, we were whisked off to our first destination:  Archie McPhee's funky shop in Ballard!  We browsed the oddities and novelties, shopped and had fun!  Our intrepid planning committee in conference.      After shopping at Archie McPhee's, we were treated with little gift bags, and another poetic clue. Next stop:  Dick's Drive-In on 45th for lunch! Fun on the bus!     After a fun lunch, another treat, and another clue.  This time, it was off to the Columbia Winery for a wine tasting and yes, more shopping!  Following the wine tasting, we arrived at wonderful Molbak's in Woodinville for more shopping in the beautiful gift shop and incredible greenhouses.   Departing Molbak's, another gift and another clue!  This time, we were off to Ben Franklin's in Redmond for a craft class (we made cute cards and bookmarks) and guess what, more shopping!  Then it was back to the bus for another treat and our final clue to our last stop, the Tacky Tiki Bar in Edmonds! When we arrived at the Tacky Tiki Bar, we were delighted to find our "official" cocktail (Cosmopolitan) waiting for our us in beautiful etched, very hip, square 2-piece martini glasses.  What a special day this was!  We are definitely scheduling this as another annual event!
